Dark Forest

Take a walk in the nearby Dark Forest, one of the most beautiful forests in Greece.  It owes its name to the density of the trees that let no sunlight reach the ground. Tradition has it that Alexander the Great had had timber cut here for the fearful weapon of the Macedonian army, the 6m long spear called “sárissa”. cold-water cataracts on the lovely gorge of the “Thermopotamos” river, Pozar, GreeceBefore enjoying the thermal spa we had walked for 1 hour in the lovely gorge of the “Thermopotamos” river. The variety of flora is amazing. We saw lots of cold-water cataracts and as close as one meter the hot water was springing up!  There is also a climbing area for rope climbing fans. Everything at the foot of Kaimaktsalan or Vorras mountain. Lovely nature.
