The Best Beaches of Lefkada Island, Greece.

Lefkada, Leucas, Leucadia, Lefkas, and Leukas. No matter what the name of this beautiful island is, it still has the most stunning beaches. Its beaches are considered among the most beautiful in the Mediterranean Sea. You can explore them from the west coast to the east coast, upside down. It depends on your appetite. The west coast has looong, sandy beaches, surrounded by impressive cliffs, while the east coast has more sheltered bays and coves. Swipe to see the best beaches of Lefkada.

Egremni Beach

Egremni, located on the southwestern coast of the island, is ideal for nature lovers. It is among European’s best beaches along with Porto Katsiki and Kathisma.

Egremni is also on a list of T + L that shows the 13 places with the bluest waters in the world. Egremni is one the most ideal places for tranquility, too.

Since the earthquake in 2015, the only way to get there is by boat. Before you could drive there but had to descent about 300 windy steps. At least now it is less crowded.

There are no bars and no sun beds; fortunately, you can rent from cruise boats an umbrella. The deep blue color of the water is totally awesome.

Porto Katsiki Beach

Porto Katsiki is located also on the southwestern coast, a further south from Egremni Beach.’’Goat Port ‘’ is famous for crystal blue sea and its landscape.

There are two ways to get to Porto Katsiki. By boat trips from Nydri and Vassiliki, or by driving on a zigzagged road for about an hour from Lefkada. Once you are there then you’ll have to go down a path with 100 steps. I chose the easiest and the most relaxing way, the boat cruise.

Kathisma Beach

Kathisma is Lefkada’s ‘’party beach ‘’ and the most cosmopolitan beach. If you search for the luxury, you’re in the right place. This beach is overbuilt with parasols, loungers, nice beach-bars and restaurants.

Kathisma Beach is located close to Agios Nikitas village, 15 km away from Lefkada, the island’s main town.

On the beach, there is a huge space where you can park your car for free, but in order to find a free spot, you’ll have to be there early in the morning. Otherwise, you can leave your car in private parking spots for 5 euros per day.

The brave ones can enjoy sky parachute.
Kathisma beach has the most luxurious beach bars of the island.

Copla is Lefkada’s most popular beach bar. It is mostly preferred by young crowds.

Poros Beach

Poros Beach is located 30 km from Lefkada Town and 13 km from the lively Nydri. Poros is ideal for modern camping. For your tranquility, relaxation and wild vacation, this beach is a great choice.

Agios Nikitas Beach
Agios Nikitas is a small beach with extremely pure water. With its cafes and tavernas, Aghios Nikitas is often chosen by families. On this beach everything is possible, except for the party, because it’s a very quiet place with charming fisherman boats, but hey, a great postcard.

Vassiliki Bay Beach

Vassiliki, the paradise for windsurfer, is on a list of Europe’s three best windsurfing spots.

Agiofili Beach

Agiofili is located 2km from Vassiliki. You can get there by boat from Vassiliki, the ticket costs 6 euros and you only need 10 minutes to get there. If Vassiliki is a pure paradise for windsurfers, then Agiofili is a pure paradise for divers and snorkeling lovers. Agiofili is surrounded by white cliffs, and the sea world is remarkable blue lagoon.

Nikiana
A great place to learn sailing, or enjoy the one. Stunning scenery that reaches almost to the water’s edge and breathtaking view; what else to ask. Alongside the coastline, there are some lovely restaurants and lodgings.

Sivota

Sivota lies on a small picturesque bay and is located 32 km south of Lefkada, the island’s capital town. It is mostly preferred by yacht owners and is popular for its lovely seaside restaurants.

All these beaches in 4 words – magnificent postcard-worthy views.
