World’s Most Beautiful Street Stair Art

1.Street art on the steps of Beirut, Lebanon by dihzahyners.

Stretching 500 metres (1,640 feet), the St Nicholas Stairs is the longest stairway in the Middle East.

2. 16th avenue, San-Francisco

This mosaic street stair art was made by the entire local community! Aileen Barr and Colette Crutcher designed each and everyone of the 163 tiled steps and the locals did all the hard work!

Light the night… don’t fall down the stairs!

3. Dalí on the Rocky Steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art,  April 2005, Philadelphia, USA,

These steps are also called Rocky steps because some fictional boxer managed to run to the top of it

4. The Rainbow covered stairs by Horst Glaesker, Wuppertal, Germany

The artist’s installation is titled “Scala” which means stairs, and he’s proud to have stenciled different words on the risers to describe relationships, interactions and emotions of humans.

5. Vivid steps of Valparasio, Chille

Some of the World’s greatest street artists live and work in Valparaíso, Chile but sadly as a result a lot of their work like this amazing sea view painting on a staircase goes un-named and the artist name often forgotten about.

This piano stair is my favorite one!

10. Montée St-Maurice, Angers, France

This amazing artwork on a staircase in Montée St-Maurice, Angers, France is by artist Mademoiselle Maurice. Taking up no less than 30,000 folded bits of paper, and with the help of hundreds of local people it really is one impressive scene.

11. Copenhagen, Denmark

Located in Copenhagen, Denmark this incredible mountain inspired staircase is in fact a strong message about Parkinson’s disease. Made by advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi it is a great advert and one that certainly makes you stop and think.

19. Hyehwa, Seoul, South Korea

Daisy Staircase: Area near Naksan Park (Seoul, Korea). A public art project conducted by the Ministry of Culture & Tourism in 2006 made this village into a special art place.

I would be very happy to be greeted with these lovely flowers everyday!

20. Santiago, Chile

500 sneakers turned into colorful planters were placed at the exit of a park in downtown Santiago, Chile

    • Gracias Dominique! Los colores que los Latinos eligen para embellecer sus calles son calidos y alegres como y la gente :-)

  • Some of these are pretty amazing! I cracked up when I saw the one of the guy with the curly mustache. I would also love the piano stairs for the walk leading up to my house.

    • It's amazing what artists can do with these stairs. Thanks for posting the link back to my page; I'm sure that same staircase will have a new design sometime this summer.
