Santa Claus is coming to town – in South Korea. But they’re not big, bearded and round bellied, although they’re also from snowy climates.
Several kookaburra birds paraded around in Santa Claus, Christmas tree, and zookeeper apparel for amusement park visitors in South Korea while animal rights activists were irritated by the event the nine penguins had to take part in.
“It was a way to give people a merry Christmas,” one penguin trainer said. However, people for animal rights said the event was “cruel” and “inappropriate.” Associates of Everland insisted that the birds will keep on greeting visitors each and every day until the year comes to an end.
