Most amazing hotel pools

1. Marina Bay Sands Hotel pool, Singapore

The Marina Bay Sands is a massive hotel in Singapore. Whilst not so romantic due to its shear size, it doesn’t disappoint on the entertainment front, especially thanks to its world famous pool. The pool is situated in the roof garden of the hotel and has the best view over the city.

2. InterContinental Festival City Hotel, Dubai

The pool of the InterContinental Festival City Hotel  extends beyond the edge of the hotel, and it has a transparent bottom so swimmers and the people below can both have quite a view.

3. The Ubud Hanging Gardens Hotel

The Ubud Hanging Gardens Hotel is a man-made attraction in Bali. The most striking of the hotel’s design features is a large, multi-leveled infinity pool, with curves that are said to copy the shape and beauty of the hills nearby. Guests can swim at the edge and enjoy peaceful vistas of the ancient Pura Penataran Dalem Segara temple, located on the opposite hillside.

4. Katikies Hotel, Santorini

Bright white offsets the rich blue hues of the Aegean sea and with a mixture of 18th century cave rooms and rock faced new construction– Katikies makes it all feel like home.

5. Hotel San Alfonso del Mar, Chile

This pool is officially the biggest in the world! Not only is it the longest pool in the world, at over 1000 meters in length, but one of its edges also plummets almost 40 meters deep, making it perfect for scuba diving. This pool is ideal for families, as kids can play all day long. Make sure you have some binoculars to find them, though!

6. The Cambrian Adelboden outdoor pool with a view of the Swiss Alps

The Cambrian in Adelboden doesn’t have a big pool. Its actually quite small and is in the middle of the town. The one thing this hotel pool does have is one of the best winter views possible from a pool. When you lower yourself deep in the water to keep warm and don’t see the roofs of the neighbouring buildings you can really believe that you’re floating in a world of snow!

7. Hotel Villa Honegg, Switzerland/Ennetbuergen

The Villa Honegg is a unique 5-star superior establishment in the heart of Switzerland on mount Bürgenstock. This long-established hotel was built in 1905 and reopened for business in May 2011 following a major refit. For its size, it is unique in Switzerland in terms of what it offers. As a haven of peace and privacy, it enjoys an incomparable setting.

The Jade Mountain Resort in St. Lucia is a place where each room has its own infinity pool. Architect owner Nick Troubetzkoy has expanded upon his philosophy of building in harmony with Caribbean nature. The resort is characterized by the bold architectural design – individual bridges leading to exceptional infinity pool sanctuaries and rugged stoned-faced columns reaching towards the sky.

9. The Taj Exotica Resort and Spa Maldives

The Taj Exotica Resort and Spa Maldives is a five-star exclusive resort, surrounded by lush tropical plants and crystal clear blue waters. Located in one of the largest lagoons in the area, the accommodation units spread idyllically along a mesmerizing beach, providing a lovely relaxation setting for its visitors.

10. The Sarojin, Phang Nga, Thailand

Sweet lounge spots at the Sarojin Resort in Khao Lak Town in Phang Nga Province in Thailand.

I’d really like to be there right now…

  • Unfortunately you are wrong about the pool at the Intercontinental Dubai Festival city. There is a pool that has a see through bottom but it is a single lap pool located in conjunction with the Crowne Plaza Dubai Festival city. A fine hotel none the less and a Beautiful pool area for both hotels that are co located. If you are ever in Dubai this is a highly recommended and actually affordable location for the type of hotels they are. I have stayed at the Intercontinental Dubai Festival City many times.
